Rename 30yr Business/relocating/tag Line

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
我wear many hats for a golf car business that my husband and a partner own. The business is named Dixielectricar, & was named that many years ago by it's former owner. The business has been in our hands for 15 years. We are moving the business to another town close by, closer to beach resorts and coastal communities where golf cars are used regularly. I'd like to rename the biz "Emerald Coast Golf Cars" or something similar. We don't do a lot of ads, but will need to because of the move. No tag line has ever been used, but I'd like to use one (or more) since this is a big change. We have loyal customers and would like to grab some new ones who have never heard of us.

    Hi,

你考虑过可能不会改变名字?我f you have been around for so long, it means you are a serious player in the market, and you have a lot to offer to both new and existing customers. It's likely that people in your new location have heard about your business before... just a thought.

Questions: Who are your target customers? What is your main value proposition, that is, what makes you different (and better) from all other businesses of the same type?

How about shortening your name? "Dixie Cars - your electric golf car dealer".

Dont change your name.. add a tag line.. pay to keep the same phone number... you can do that indefinitely now.. And, then add Emerald Coast's great carts or whatever you want as a tag...

A business that has 30 plus years under the same brand has developed some good will that you dont want to have to recreate.
