Amusement Parks Website Bewilderment!

Posted by Anonymous on 50 Points
Our target is to create a website for all the amusement parks in a particular country.

This website is designed to give people the option to take a virtual tour of the park, play games relating to the park- sort of like a virtual amusement park.

However, a problem arises; what incentives can we offer the the actual amusement parks in order to entice them to agree to work with us and how can we get the users of the site (mainly children) to go from the actual website to the parks?

    What you can offer -

我f you are offering information on amusement parks, almost like a review of that park, it is in the best interests for that amusement park to give you all the best information they have, so that they get the most positive press coverage possible. They will of course benefit from any traffic generated by your site.

    Obstacles to this -

The main problem I foresee in any start up venture is exposure to the audience, or how you are going to be found. It is simple to get another company to endorse or give you information if you are already successful, but trying to convince a company to give you time on a venture that doesn't have any ranking as yet is another matter. Don't forget that the amusement parks themselves will all have sites optimised to do this work as well and your site might in search engine terms be competing with them. In my opinion, I would try and find some way that you will be accessed by their customers that they don't already do themselves. If you can be found before them, then they will break down their doors to give you what you want.

First of all you must get the parents to want to take them to the park. So aside from showing how much fun it will be and "educational" you probably have to give discounts or adults free passes. Otherwise I have no reason to come to your site otehr than to just see what's around.

Think promotions and get the parks to work with you , even pay you, to attract people.

Do a quick quantitative survey of around 30 families who are potential clients to go to amusement parks. Find out how they plan their holidays, how they decide where to go to, how much to spend, what to eat, who the primary decision maker is etc etc.

You will get a pretty clear idea of how to design your website and what to put into it. Post which- You wont find it difficult to sell this website. It will be a One stop shop for people to plan vacations and do price comparisons, timings, packages, facilities etc.

我deally allow online booking and some special offers available exclusively to the website.

消费者research needs to be repeated for every country that you launch in.
