1-800 Call Service

I am launching a online consulting business. I would like to have an answering service that can screen incoming calls, provide a basic description of services, and sign-up customers. Does anyone know of any good services? What has your experience been with such processes? Does the idea make sense? Are there better solutions?

    I don't like this idea, but I guess it depends what kind of consulting you are offering.

    You might be able to find someone to take your calls, provide general answers to questiong, and then forward you the contact information, but I'd be surprised if anyone would go for that.

    They're looking for a consultant. I think you need to be prepared to do a little consulting for free over the phone to establish that you know what you're talking about.

    Do you envision getting so many leads that you don't have time to talk to them all?

    If so, you should be in the lead-generation business.

    Great point. The main idea of the service would be quaulifying the leads, before having to invest advisor time, which is likely to cost more.
