Tagline For It Consulting Firm In The Philippines

Posted by Anonymous on 1250 Points
My company is FOCUS I.T. and it has a 'compass' for a logo. I want to attach a tagline to the company logo.Since, my line of work is in the line of application solutions and consultation, our service has something to do with SEARCHING/FINDING a solution for our clients application needs, be it in implementation, troubleshooting or user-training. One of the reason why I used a compass as a model for the company, because we serve as a "compass" for our clients. We point/guide them to the right direction so to speak. Another is that, a compass, though the technology has been present for so many years, it's still being used by many for finding direction when they're lost. Sure there are modern technologies such as the GPS, but if you think about it a compass is as effective as the GPS. Plus not everyone can afford to put GPS on their cars, or afford gadgets capable of using GPS. A compass on the other hand cost a fraction of the price of those modern gadgets, and it get's the job done. We offer our services at competitive prices, and the service rendered to our clients gets the done, and done well.

I'm having a hard time creating a tagline that would sum up the above.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Grace

    Hi Grace,
Generally, I think B2B (unlike B2C) taglines need to indicate, in a simple way, what your company does for the customer. Most B2B brands can't get away with something overly broad, especially in the technical realm. Everybody knows what Coca-Cola does, so they can use a broad tagline. But people don't know what you do, and they're not going to spend time trying to figure it out.

Also, customers don't want to 'search' for solutions (especially if they don't know they have a problem).

With that in mind, here are my suggestions. If there are words specific to your niche market, I would recommend using those. (For example, what types of applications?)

Finding and implementing your application solutions
You've found the experts in application solutions
We help guide the way in application solutions
Guiding you in application solutions and implementation

Let's talk about who is in your primary target audience. What kind of company? Where are they located? What are their most important unmet needs (that you can satisfy)? How are they going to find you? How do they make these kinds of decisions? What makes you different from, and better than, your competitors? Why should they hire you?

The tagline should communicate a BENEFIT for the target audience. How do you want them to think about your company? What's the main benefit?

You'll also do a better job if you keep the target audience very narrow. Think about the characteristics of your very best client, and basically describe THAT client as your target audience.

    Dear Grace,

Since your USP is the expertise and experience your consultants have in providing these solutions, I feel you need to portray that in your tagline. As Tracey pointed out, taglines for a B2B company would be very different from a B2C company, as we need it to be more descriptive than just catchy here.

I've posted a couple of samples below focusing on the expertise aspect of your USP. Please take these more as examples of the point I am trying to put across than just suggestions for your tagline.

    FOCUS I.T.
    The oracle solution experts

    FOCUS I.T.
    IT solutions consulting by experts

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Grace,

If you are only going to do Oracle consulting in the future, I like the idea of putting that in your tagline -- it immediately says what you do. However, if you plan to branch out, avoid that because it's limiting.

我认为是个很好的differentiat点播服务ion. Many people are scared to contact consultants because they don't want a hefty retainer fee.

    How about:
    或acle expertise, on demand.
    Certified Oracle consulting, on demand.

    Best of luck!
