Counseling Name For Private Practice

Posted byclaudiameltonon 250 Points
I am starting a private practice that may end up having another therapist. I need a name for the practice. I focus on children and families. I want to focus on growth, change & strengths of clients and finding solutions.

    Where are you located?
    What are your certifications?
Since all counseling is about "growth, change & strengths of clients and finding solutions" - what would make people want to work with you (and/or your partner)?
What specific types of problems might you be seen as the expert in? Why?

I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) with 20 years experience and have just received my RPT (Registered Play Therapy) certification in the state of NC.
I have specialized in working with children that have experienced trauma and attachment issues. I have worked extensively with children, adolescents and young adults on issues such as anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, ADHD.

Okay, so you're a play therapist and emotional disorders putters-to-righter for youngsters. How many of your referrals come through the channels of the authorities, and how many are from parents? Your name needs to focus on who they are. If it's the former, just your name would do. I'm asking because here in Europe the usual way of things is for the authorities to refer patients to registered practitioners many of whom are in private practice.

Whatever, this isn't getting you a name, and that's what you came for.

Creative Changes. Gentle and effective counselling
The pattern shifter. Gentle methods to help kids be happy
Teen tuning. Shaping youngsters' confidence in the future

There! Are these any good? If not, why not - and just telling us why will let us know where else to stray.

Thanks so much for all the help. I am going to be located in Archdale, NC - but serving clients from Randolph and Guilford Counties.
I would like to keep it a little more "short and sweet". My last job was at "Family Solutions" - a name I LOVE and want something just that good! Hope that helps!

Well there was "creative changes" and "teen tuning" - only they did sort of have a tagline along with them for clarification.

Will your old company "Family Solutions" be in your area you'll be working in privately? If so, you need to differentiate yourself from them and emphasize your personal strengths.

    You could simply be "Resolve"

Sorry, it's late here and my mind has switched off. It's all black and quiet in there.
