To find out,Airshipsurveyed11,000 people age 18 and older in Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Respondents say the top reasons they delete apps are to free up phone storage (32% cite as a motivation) and when they encounter too many in-app ads (30%).

What most often causes users to delete a mobile phone app

Some 17% of people say they usually decide whether or not to delete an app after the first use, 40% say after a couple of uses, and 16% say within a week or two of the first use.

How many times users use a mobile phone app before deciding to delete it

People say their top motivators for continuing to use apps from their favorite brands are when apps are easy to use (35% of global respondents cite), simplify their lives (31%), and save them time (27%).
