What's the subject? Who is the target audience for reading this white paper? Do some good research and publish it where your target readers will see/read it. You can talk with editors and review a "media kit" with many publications ... online, print and both. It's just doing the work. It will take some time.

There are various portals where such things can be set down.

However, whitepapers are valuable - why are you intending giving it away? Why not develop a website around it, set up an email autoresponder with your whitepaper as a teaser? That way you'll both publicize it and get an email list at the same time.

Publish to sell, or publish to give away as a loss leader?

Thanks for the quick responses. The topic is around SMS marketing and it is intended for a quick reference guide on now to be successfull with SMS as that seems to be a topic many of my clients are asking about. I want this to be free, but act as a way to get my name out in the marketplace as a industry expert. I dont want to go through my companies channels, but my own. I am just not sure how to publish and get credit for in terms of acknoledgement, not money.

On your landing page, create a short video and use an opt in box that asks peopel to confirm they want your report (a double opt in).
